Many of us are often looking for a creative outlet, especially at the start of a new year, but it can be hard to find the time. Also, sometimes joining a class or finding an activity that allows us to both relax and develop our imaginations can seem intimidating, expensive, or too much of a commitment to add to our already busy schedules.
PERA College has the perfect outlet for those of us that want to dabble in the arts, meet new people, and enjoy a Saturday afternoon. We hold drawing, painting, and photography workshops that are open to people of all skill levels. In the drawing workshops, participants learn about different drawing tools and how to develop healthy drawing habits. Drawing practices focus on circles, lines, divisions, contours, perspective, and still life using pencil, charcoal, and pastel. There is also the chance to review and critique work with other students. For these workshops all materials are provided and students have the chance to learn from PERA’s experienced art instructors. The best part of these workshops is that the small groups allow for one-on-one support and you can progress at your own pace.
